Our Story
Udaipur was founded in 1559 by Maharana Udai Singh II, becoming the new seat of the Mewar dynasty after Chittorgarh — and has been known ever since as the City of Lakes, its palaces mirrored in still water and its bazaars steeped in centuries of Rajput history.
Kirthigarh is newly built, yet every carved arch, marble jharokha and open courtyard has been shaped by local craftsmen following that same centuries-old Mewar vocabulary. A first-time guest is greeted with the calm of an old haveli — without the wear of time — set quietly outside the city limits, away from the traffic and crowds of central Udaipur.
